Multiprac is available in two configurations:

  • Enterprise Wide Integrated; This configuration is connected to the existing information feeds for the enterprise, with multiple facilities configurable. It is a scaleable solution for organisations with multiple facilities wishing to connect to existing data feeds.
  • Stand Alone; This configuration is aimed at smaller facilities. It relies on the Infection Control Practitioner directly for entry of information normally available from the facility information feeds. It is aimed at single facilities where the connection to automated information feeds is not possible

Apart from the configuration of automatic feed information there are no functional differences between the two configurations. Both are available with the mobile module allowing Infection Control Practitioners to operate in an environment where wireless access is partially available.

All patient health record  information gathered within the Multiprac system is stored using openEHR standards and is openly available for integration into future systems.

Enterprise Wide Integrated

The enterprise configuration for Multiprac provides access to multiple facility functionality, with full access control on a per facility bases. It includes the integration and configuration of:

  • Patient Administration admission, discharge and transfer messages
  • Pathology Laboriatory Reports for microbiology and serology
  • Theatre Management Information

Reference data are configurable, allowing the incorporation of standard terminolgy items from terminologies such as SNOMED CT and ICD10. Individual existing reference data sets can be imported and modified on an enterprise wide or facility basis.

Individual functions such as:

  • Business Rule Notifications
  • Surveillance of Blood Stream Infections, Surgical Site Surveillance, Significant Organism Surveillance
  • Contact Trace and Outbreak functionality
  • Reports and control charts are available on a per facility basis as well as direct access to a de-identified reporting database is available for a central function.
  • Mobile device disconnected access for data collection of Blood Stream Infections and Surgical Site Surveillance

Access from mobile devices such as the iPAD is available in locations where there is limited wireless access within the facility. The ICP can select patients of interest and download their records to the iPAD, whilst locking out further access on the main system. After moving to the patient's location the ICP can continue to gather the data required for surveillance, regardless of being out of wireless network contact.

At a later time the ICP can reconnect to the network and upload the gathered data to the patient's central record.

  • Patient Demographic Information
  • Pathology Laboriatory Reports for microbiology and serology
  • Surgical Site Surveillance criteria
  • Contact Trace and Outbreak functionality

Reference data are configurable, allowing the incorporation of standard terminolgy items from terminologies such as SNOMED CT and ICD10. Individual existing reference data sets can be imported and modified on a facility basis.

Individual functions such as:

  • Surveillance of Blood Stream Infections, Surgical Site Surveillance, Significant Organism Surveillance
  • Contact Trace and Outbreak functionality
  • Reports and control charts are available.

The stand alone configuration is compatible with the scaleable enterprise solution and can be incorporated or expanded at any time.
